Why did you choose this career? (01/29/2007)

I totally didn't. I was an IT guy for a long time and was bored out of my mind. A friend worked for a local interactive agency and said he could get me a chance to try out development. I ended up falling in love with the job, the industry, and the rest is history.

What are your strengths? Weaknesses? (01/29/2007)

I'm a fast learner. I'm meticulous when it comes to clean code. I sometimes catch myself spending more time fixing around a problem rather than stepping away and re-evaluating. I sometimes take on more than I should, but still resolve to complete everything on time.

Community and its extensions to online realms. Making real, human connections is more gratifying than any code can ever be.

Opportunities for ongoing work-relationships. Preference for consulting work, though contract-to-hire is a possibility for the right group.

What did you learn from your previous job? (01/29/2007)

I really honed my javascript skills at my previous full time job, but I really learned about finding niche within the industry. This has lead me to pick my path, find my higher purpose, and focus at excelling towards those goals.

Describe your ideal work environment. (01/29/2007)

Casual. I've resolved to never wear a suit and tie to work EVERY DAY. I like to get dressed nicely, but I don't need to do it every day. I need to get along with my coworkers outside of the walls of the office. Music is a must while I work (headphones or speakers...depending on the surroundings). Ultimately I spend a lot of hours at work so I need to be comfortable.

Meeting new people and finding out what they are passionate about, and they finding ways to apply my talent to their passions.

Who wants to grow up anymore? If I can keep doing what I'm doing and have this much fun, growing up is just paying bills and obeying the law.
